Drama in Worship

All Jesus did that day was tell stories—a long storytelling afternoon. His storytelling fulfilled the prophecy:

   I will open my mouth and tell stories;
   I will bring out into the open
         things hidden since the world's first day.
Matthew 13:34-35 (The Message)
What is Drama? Simply telling stories is what drama is all about. And who has a better story to tell than the Christian who has received the gift of salvation! People often think that incorporating Drama into worship is new but Jesus told stories often. He called them parables and a parable is a story told in a way people can relate to it. That’s a form of drama. Our goal is to provide visual storytelling that enhances worship to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are learning to tell the story through skits, Readers Theatre, and taped presentations. We’re always open to suggestions if you have something you’d like us to consider putting together. Our Drama Team is new and we’re all learning but we have a great time! We meet every Sunday after morning services and lunch is provided. Come and join us!
